About
Small business M&A, from the actual filings.
Most small business acquisitions never make the news. But when one is financed with an SBA loan, it leaves a record: the buyer, the lender, the amount, the term, the jobs. Sold & Signed reads those records every week and reports what's in them.
What you get
- Deal of the Week. One real, SBA-financed acquisition pulled from federal loan filings, and what made it work.
- Data Snapshot. A chart or table from loan-level SBA data: who is buying, what, and for how much.
- On the Market. A few businesses listed for sale right now, with the multiple and the catch.
- One Concept, Explained. SDE, 504 structures, seller notes. One idea, explained plainly.
Where the numbers come from
Deal and lending data comes from the SBA's public FOIA loan-level datasets for the 7(a) and 504 programs. Business listings come from public marketplaces such as BizBuySell, BizQuest, and BusinessBroker.net, and every figure is seller-reported and unaudited. Every issue cites its sources.
